Our proposal in collaboration with B&B “Maison Civico 13”
The B&B Maison Civico 13 is in the village of Ausonia at the foot of the Natural Park of Aurunci Mountains and it is on the important state highway which connect the Ulysses Riviera and the inland. This position makes easy reaching important touristic sites of South Lazio. In fact it is just 20 km far from the coast, well known as “Ulysses Riviera”, from the city of Formia, Gaeta and the pearl of the coast, Sperlonga. From here, towards the inland, you can visit the Abbey of Montecassino, just few kilometers far, the Abbey of Trisulti and the Abbey of Casamari and you can’t forget the small villages in the Aurunci mountains and in the Liri’s valley. For nature enthusiasts it is a perfect place from where you can have naturalistic excursions, both in the near Natural Park of Aurunci Mountains and in the National Park of Abruzzo.
The medieval village of Ausonia has in its centre its most charming and beautiful part. You can admire old eighteenth-century buildings, today restored, characterized by beautiful portals and the typical two-faced windows. The Medieval Castle is an example of the 11th- century architecture, built by the princes of Capua in honor of the Abbey of Montecassino. You can also visit the sanctuary of Madonna del Piano, a 15th century building, and its crypt that enshrines some frescos from the Benedictine period.
Known as an important centre for stone and marble production, in the village it was established the Museum of Stone in 2004, in the medieval castle, where you can see the techniques and the tools for its making.
The place and the facility, far from mass tourism, makes it a perfect place for those who wants to spend a relaxing holiday sinking into the intense flavors of this area.
The B&B was established within a classic building erected at the beginning of the 1900s. Ensuring that the location’s heritage remains unspoilt, the Di Marzio family, the owners of this venture, paid the utmost attention to every detail to make the B&B completely unique to the area. Simple and comfortable, the guest house offers its guests an unforgettable and traditional family sensation.

Abbey of Montecassino and Historiale Museum
In the morning we will visit the Abbey and we will have lunch in a farm holiday. In the afternoon we will go to the Historiale Musuem in Cassino ( except on Saturday).

The pearl of Ulysses Riviera
In the morning we will visit the archeological system of Tiberius’ Grotto and we will have lunch in a typical restaurant in the town of Sperlonga. Then we will have free time to walk through the charming alleys of the town.

Small villages
In the morning we will visit the old town centre of Esperia (municipality in the Natural Park of Aurunci Mountains) and we will have lunch in the B&B Maison Civico 13. In the afternoon we will visit the centre of Ausonia, the Museum of Stone and the sanctuary of Madonna del Piano.
